The ven revere their ancestors, those who have passed into the long sleep of Solace, somewhat like “patron saints.” Suaven can bestow them with blessings, omens and prophecies to those who remember them, devote themselves to their memory and build shrines to honor their legacy in the world.
Types of Suaven
Family Suaven are revered by a specific family group. A family Suaven has one or more Shrines, but is not known outside of those who knew her in life.
Lesser Suaven are recognized by most ven in a specific geographical region, even if the ven do not revere them. These Suaven have a reaching power over the lives of those who give them reverence.
Greater Suaven are are almost omnipresent in Shanri, known all throughout the land. All ven grow up knowing their names, their symbols and their holidays.
There is one other kind of Suaven. The Fashuva. The Fell Ones. They are not to be spoken of for even the the mention of their names is too dangerous. To traffic with such forbidden powers is unthinkable to most ven and only the most desperate and depraved of the Blooded turn to them.

The Iron Heart, Winter’s Promise, the Ruthless. Call upon him when you seek insight into the ways of Politics.
Keeper of secrets, the blind one, whisperer. Call upon him when you seek insight into the ways of Intrigue.
